The event, which attracted 170 guests from the local communities, featured the comedic talents of Jon Fisch and Moody McCarthy – who have both been featured on the Last Comic Standing reality television show. The event was emceed by local comedian Joe List. Comedy Night was sponsored by businesses from round the Blackstone Valley, including Dean Bank, DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home and Safety Insurance. A complete list of sponsors can be found on the Fundraisers page.
The Boys & Girls Club would like to thank everyone who participated in the event, is truly was a night of laughs and we hope to see you all next year.
The Comedy Night event came a little over a week after the Ninety Nine Restaurant in Milford presented the BVBGC with a donation of $8,000 after a two-week auction of the nostalgic plaques that served as the restaurant’s décor. The auction was held in light of a remodeling at the Ninety Nine. Next time you visit the Ninety Nine Restaurant, be sure to say “thank you” on behalf of the Club.
